Veruca Vulgaris
(Common Wart)

Description : Verruca vulgaris is a benign, localized, epithelial hyperplasia caused by the human wart virus of the papova virus group (a group of small DNA oncogenic viruses).

The lesions consist of firm, circumscribed, elevated papules with a filiform or papillomatous hyperkeratotic surface.

A small wart can be seen in the conchal bowl, just adjacent to the posterior wall of the meatus.
